With the HiBREW H10A coffee maker, you can take your coffee making experience to the next level at home: with high pressure, adjustable temperature, water volume, and a built-in milk frother, almost any type of coffee can be tailored to your own taste - whether it's espresso or creamy cappuccino.
The price is moderate, some are cheaper, some are more expensive, but it should be taken into account that this is not an entry-level coffee maker and can easily hold its own in a smaller restaurant.
Design
The HiBREW H10A has a clean and professional look. It has a stainless steel housing that is both modern and durable.
On the front are four buttons, a pressure gauge, and a clearly visible digital display showing the temperature and other data. On the right side is a large rotary knob, next to which is the steam lever, which is made of metal.
The whole machine really gives the impression that it could easily fit into a smaller restaurant.

No need to hide
It's exactly what we expect it to be in reality.
The rotary knob for controlling the steam is located on the side.
Moderately large, 33 x 29 x 38 cm
There is also a cup warmer on top and the tank is removable, but it is not necessary to fill it because the top can be opened and the capacity is large, 1.8 liters (BPA-free, food-grade).
It is both modern and retro thanks to the analog pressure display, and the two together create a spectacular combination.
The drip tray is removable
The higher price brings with it higher quality details like a 58mm portafilter with a removable arm, three different filters, a normal metal, non-plastic tamper with a wooden handle, and an extra metal mug that can also be used for frothing milk.
These are important extras that are often only available on expensive machines, and they are also useful because even a normal tamper costs 4-5,000 HUF, which you will definitely need.
The 58mm portafilter is considered the commercial size for espresso machines. It is the most common size in coffee shops and many higher-end home espresso machines.
This size has several advantages:
- More even extraction: the larger surface area allows water to flow more evenly through the coffee grounds, resulting in a more balanced tasting espresso
- More coffee: a 58mm portafilter can generally hold more ground coffee, which can result in a richer body and more complex flavor
- Wider range of accessories: since this is the standard size, a much wider range of accessories, such as tampers and dosing rings, are available.
Although there are smaller sized portafilters (e.g. 54mm, 51mm) that are often found on home or entry-level machines, 58mm is the “standard” size in the coffee industry.
Exactly the coffee you want!
The great strength of the HiBREW H10 Plus is that you can perfectly customize the way you brew coffee, because you can set the
- temperature (90-95°C and 25°C)
- amount of water (35-150ml for a single dose and 70-300ml for a double dose)
- steam temperature for milk frothing (125-150°C)
- pre-soaking time (1-10 sec)
“Pre-infusion” or “pre-brew” is a fundamental step in espresso making, during which ground coffee is gradually infused with water at low pressure before full, high-pressure extraction begins.
This prevents channeling, as the coffee grounds, even after compaction, are still enmeshed in air and tiny gaps. If the water flows at full pressure immediately, it is easy to create “channels” (faster water flow paths), leading to uneven extraction.
You can make excellent coffee with it
It is capable of a maximum pressure of 20 bar, which does not mean that it brews coffee with exactly that much pressure, as this depends on, for example, the fineness of the grind, the amount of coffee, and its density.
According to the manufacturer, coffee will not be perfect below 7 bar, and the pressure generated above 16 bar is too high. According to the traditional and industry standard, espresso should be brewed at 9 bar, and above 10-15 bar, the coffee may be overextracted, which can result in a bitter, astringent taste.
It precisely adjusts and maintains the temperature during brewing to ensure high-quality coffee, so it's up to us whether we're able to take advantage of the technology inside.
